Our Hearts Are Broken
Regrettably our brother Phil succumbed to cancer on 8/20/2008 AT 7 PM. The disease broke his body but never his spirit. He was a fighter right up to his last breath, and he bravely crossed the threshold of pain and suffering to go home to God. Though our brother is gone from our presence he will always occupy a place in our hearts. His quiet humor and gentle smile have left an indelible mark on our lives, for which we are truly blessed. We love you Phil and will miss you terribly.

It was amazing how Phil kept a positive attitude through the end. He said that the only way he'd beat the cancer was to focus all of his energy on it. He did, we did, but in the end it wasn't meant to be. Phil always thought about others and helping them...maybe we all can help Phil's spirit live by being more like him! We'll miss you Phil!
